Sorry! A late post from Seattle Restaurant Week a couple months ago I forgot to post! This was one of my first SRW meals at a newer restaurant, Triumph Bar. It’s located in lower Queen Anne right by the Key.
Atmosphere: A pretty decent size bar/restaurant. It has a classic feel with high ceilings. There’s also a wall of wine in the back that I thought was super pretty and made it just that more classy (picture below!).
Pricing: For SRW it’s 3 courses for $28 bucks! Normally small dishes range from $8-$12.
Service: It wasn’t very busy so we had excellent service from an older gentleman. He also knew his food!
Braised short rib with potato/cheese puree and kale. The meat was very tender and went really well with the puree. Great combination and I wanted more!
Pork belly mac and cheese with chanterelles. Good combo, but it wasn’t the best pork belly I’ve ever had! I think I liked the braised short rib better, but it was hard to compare because I am a sucker for mac and cheese.
Overall: I really liked all of the food even if they did reuse some of the ingredients in different dishes. I really love mushrooms so I’m okay with that! I would definitely come back and try some other things on their regular menu. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they have the braised short rib on their regular menu, but they have everything else. They have pretty different things on their happy hour menu, which is everyday from 3-6p and 10-close so I would definitely swing by.
